We recently completed a specialist stonework project in Neath, South Wales, involving the careful removal and reconstruction of unsafe masonry. The existing stonework had deteriorated to a point where sections posed a structural and safety risk, so our first step was to carry out a controlled takedown, ensuring all loose or unstable areas were removed without causing further damage to the surrounding structure.
Once the site was made safe and fully prepared, we rebuilt the affected areas using a combination of brickwork corners and high-quality blue pennant stone, chosen to complement the traditional character of the property while providing long-lasting durability. Our team paid close attention to detail throughout the rebuild, matching the stonework as closely as possible and ensuring strong, well-aligned joints. The finished result is a secure, attractive, and structurally sound section of masonry that restores both the appearance and integrity of the building.
